I have 2 node, active/active cluster with 10 instances on it.
I have to do a DR test(SRDF), however, one of the application/instance do not want to move to DR side.
Is this possible to flip 9 instances to DR and have 1 left alone at PROD side and application working as BAU? If so, how to achieve it.
I am not too experienced with SRDF, so if you can share your experience, it would be great.

sounds like the add node wizrd has not been run on the partner node for that instance, is that your desired configuration??

I am not sure what exactly you are asking?
This particular app is having a lot of release and they do not want to participate in the DR test, so I was asked if we can leave that app/instance alone at PROD side.
Does my question/requirement makes sense?

You said that one instance will not failover to DR, is that because it hasnt been installed on the DR server?
You can leave that instance running on the same node but if the server is lost the instance won't be able to restart on a partner node so not a true DR test is it

No, this instance is already installed on DR side, but this particular app is having a lot of release and they do not want to participate in the DR test, so I was asked if we can leave that app/instance alone at PROD side.
So, my real question was, if we flip the remaining 9 instances to DR side, would it affect the PROD side anyway, does the PROD server needs to be down or unavailable in order for the DR test(SRDF) to go properly?

ah i see. You'll need to speak to the storage administrator regarding the SRDF storage fail over

looking at the document i linked above its done at the array level. If all LUNs for the instances are carved from the same array (and i'm guessing they are) then the lone instance will need to move too.
