  Hi,

  Management wants to know if you can perform log shipping for a file group only, unrelated to any other backup strategy on the box. If report data for a data sensitive sql server is partitioned to a filegroup, can we perform log shipping on that filegroup to a report server.

  I've been a googling monkey and I can't find anything to support this. Anyone know offhand? Seems like there would be lots of other options.

  no, log shipping is applied at the database level
