On an existing ssrs 2012 report, the report displays values inconsistently on the production report server. In all cases when I execute the sql in sql server management studio 2012, the query always returns values. This report runs fine on the test report server. However I am having problems on the production report server.
Thus can you tell me what I can do to see what error messages are displayed? Would you give me suggestions on what I can try?

Check if you have set report cache in process option, or run report from snapshot. You can open report from report manager use report builder to see dataset return results.

You mentioned the following, "Check on runtime settins like dateformat for datetime string conversions?
What is the output format of the report? html vs excel ..."
Can you tell me how to check on runtime settins like dateformat? What should I look for exactly? How to I find these items in the SSRS 2012 report? The ssrs is access through a .net reportviewer control?
The output format is setup basically in html. The header is a picture that displayed on the top of the ssrs reports.

Can you tell me how to accomplish the following tasks:
"Check if you have set report cache in process option, or run report from snapshot."
Can I do the following in report builder in a .net app on a prod server? If that is possible, can you tell me how do accomplish this task?
