i need to do patching of the application servers, some of the databases are configured in availability group .as part of this need to remove the database from availability and rejoin the db after doing patching .
how can we do ?

what kind of patching is it? is it a windows update or SQL update or any database script?

why do you need to remove the database from the AG?

As a part of patching the application servers , the databases which application uses needs to be removed from the AG group later we need to add those databases .
do we need to remove those db from the primary server or suspend the database movement before upgrading and resume the data movement after the patching is done ?

what makes you think you need to stop data movement or remove a database from an AG when applying Windows patches??
