Average and mean for months / weeks values

    Hi,

    Can someone please suggest a way to calculate average and mean for the values for different months or weeks in rows ? Thanks for your time.

    Could you add a column group over the month?

    Just to be sure, "average" and "mean" are the same thing.

    For averaging over months, a lot of people will design on of several types "floating" or "rolling" averages. In most cases that means that the point that contains the average will be the average of a limited and consistent number of months (for example). For example, the average for the current month (at month end) may include the values of just the previous 3 months and the current month.

    I don't know how to do such things in SSRS because I don't personally use SSRS.
