Hi,
Ultimately I want to have report with email subscription to fit into single page, tried it all changing Margins in Report/ R Properties, but after export to excel, I don't see SSRS setting be in effect. I think it's still local Excel settings, am I right ? After opening, I still need to apply custom margins with setting I used in ssrs..
Let say in SSRS I set height = .2 , run , export in excel and have cell height =13.75
changed it = .15, run, opened under new name in Excel and still cell height =13.75
I start thinking maybe I can with pdf?
Appreciate your opinioin.
I'm SSRS 2008Rc2 and Office 2010.
Thanks
Mario

My experience has been that pdf respects formatting better than Excel, particularly with narrow margins. I've had several instances where PDF will properly fit on a page but Excel wraps the last column onto a separate page when you print the report. In general I use Excel as the default export format, but if users need to print the report, I'll use pdf.

Hi Mario
Incorrect margin in the exported Excel is well known issue in Reporting Services 2008, as I remember
it has been fixed in SSRS 2k8 SP2 but I didn't upgrade so I can't confirm myself, if you want to know mor about excel export limits, please read this link:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd255234(v=sql.105).aspx#ExcelLimitations.
