  • Dear Gurus,

    Can we make SQL 2012 Always ON over the normal SQL Cluster 2012.

    Thanks

  • Dear Sir,

    thank you so much.

    Can you please confirm me that how can i do this.

    As an simple cluster we use two nodes

    Node 1 : windows 2008 R2 + SQL Cluster 2012

    Node 2 : windows 2008 R2 + SQL Cluster 2012

    And for storage we use SAN : MSDTC = 2 GB || QUORUM = 2 GB || DATA = 1 TB

    But i am totally confuse that how can i make ALWAYS ON over above environment

    do i need additional server for ALWAYS ON or i can use both above NODES for Always On.

    Can you please explain it in detail.

    I need your kind help.

    Special Thanks

    I highly recommend you use Windows 2012 R2 as your cluster node OS, there are features in this version of Windows Server that increase the cluster resilience.

    Are you planning for an AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instance or Availability Groups?

    Please see my stairway to sql server AlwaysOn on this site starting at this link[/url]
