Alternative to SSRS...

    I'm constantly running into flaws and limitations while attempting to use SSRS for my reporting needs. What are some good alternatives for complex reporting?

    I am only familiar with SSRS (and another tool I will mention in a moment) but have seen others have luck with Cognos and Tableau for OLTP and OLAP environments. I have worked with (for about 9 months) a program called Targit. Targit is a great tool if you are doing heavy Analysis against a cube. It is very different than SSRS and it's programming environment is very different than Visual Studio. That said, once you get over the initial learning curve it is a fantastic product. I wrapped up a DW/BI project last year with Targit as the reporting/analysis tool and it was very well received.
