This month has been wild. I’ve been out of town quite a bit for work, and started the month with SQL Saturday in Lincoln Nebraska #165. One week later, I’m flying in to Nashville for SQL Saturday #145. I am very honored to have been selected to speak out of a very serious speaker submission list, and am pleased to say that this event was incredible. The college campus the event was held in was beautiful, and the weather was great.
I presented an updated 60-minute version of my Virtualizing Business-Critical SQL Servers presentation, and I absolutely loved it. The attendees had some great examples of virtualizing in their environment, and asked some of the best and most engaging questions I have ever had in one of these sessions. I even received some very kind feedback on the speaker evaluations – you know who you are – and I very much appreciated that! You really made my week great!
I spent a good amount of time mingling and chatting with other speakers and lots of attendees, and really felt welcomed into the Nashville SQL Server community. I really enjoy traveling and meeting more people in the community. Thanks goes to the coordinators for a job very well done, and to the attendees for your great involvement. I left Nashville this morning with a smile on my face thinking about the event, and I look forward to speaking here again in the future!
