There's an incredible website that, apparently, no one ever uses that has all the detail you'll need on the subject. Here's the link...

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

There is no way we can tell you everything about always on in a forum. You are going to need to do the research and then experiment with a home lab or use Azure to really get an idea how things work.

That's not something that can be explained in a forum post. One could write an entire book on the subject.

Spend more time on google, read everything you can, then set up some VMs (Azure is great if you don't have local infrastructure) and test it out.

Perry's stairway series (link above) is really good and will get you going in the right direction. You have a lot of reading ahead of you.
