I will be speaking at SQL Saturday #145 in Nashville, TN to speak on one of my favorite topics – Virtualizing Your Business-Critical SQL Servers at 1:15pm in Room 3. Here is the abstract:
Everyone knows that SQL Server can be virtualized, but most are only virtualizing development and testing environments. Top-tier production workloads can be virtualized too, and David Klee (@kleegeek) will provide valuable insight into how to properly prepare for and implement a successful virtualization campaign for ALL of your SQL Server environments and prepare your organization for the change. Practical tips, tricks, and gotcha’s will be discussed in this dynamic dialog session.
This is my sixth SQL Saturday of 2012, and I have a blast at every time. At each event, I always learn something, meet great people, and enjoy watching the SQL Server community grow and get closer. These are free events, voluntarily organized by people who want to bring the community together, spoken at by people who want to share their knowledge with those who want to learn, and are truly unique in the technical communities around the world. I am very proud to be a part of it, and will continue to attend as many of these events as I possibly can.
I’ll see you in Nashville!
