Measure Label showing as different name in two different excel files for the same attribute and cube?

    Hi Experts,

    I have a cube that is presenting a measure field (Amount in Document Currency - Sum) as (Amount in Document Currency - Sum) in one user's excel file pivot table field list in one file and then as simply "Amount" in another user's excel file pivot table field list. I have looked a the cube's fact table and the friendly name is set to "Amount_DC" for that underlying field and the name of the measure is set to "Amount in Document Currency - Sum". I dont see any logic (likely not be looking in the correct place) which would switch this name from "Amount in Document Currency - Sum" to "Amount". Can someone please point me in the right direction to correct this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi brisims34,

    Excel can sometimes cache the names of hidden measures in the cube. Has the user refreshed their pivot table and tried removing and re-adding the measure?

    Also can you check the connection of the pivot table is correcting to the correct place?

    Thanks Jim! it looks like excel was caching like you said. I checked the connection string first thing before posting here and that was the only thing I knew to do so hence my post. This helped me find it right away though so thanks again!
