Hi All,
There is a requirement that we need to share the SSRS reports to Users across other location. I need to document what all checks/ steps needs to be taken regarding this ?
Below is what I could think of....Any suggestions would be most welcome.
1) Deploying the RDL(and shared Datasets and Datasource file) to the destination location report server. Give these new users access to the Datasource.
2) Exposing our report server to users across other location. I am not sure what needs to be done in this case. Do we have to enable firewall from either side for the relevant ports?
3) Share the report through Subscriptions. This might be a last resort. Not very useful though.
If possible, options 2 would be the most useful one for us.
Kindly help.

In my opinion, both option 2) and 3) can be considered. For option 2), since you want to grant users to access report server, you should add them to a system-level role and item-level role. You could refer to the document: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/ms156034.aspx?. In my environment, other users can access report server from other server though we doesn't take any actin in firewall.
For option 3), subscription can delivery report by sending emails or Windows share file to users, with multiple render format. You can create a subscription with once or schedule.
