I've inherited the following set up.
Witness & Usual Mirror on same box.
Sync with automatic.
Principal on other box.
I'm trying to figure out the scenarios.
P goes down, the Witness & Mirror agree it's down & autofailover.
What happens when the W & M go down:
a) when P is P
b) if a failover has already occured and M is P.

When P is P, nothing happens.
When M is P, no automatic failover occurs.

When P is P, P also shuts down as it can't form a quorum (to help protect against a split brain scenario).

When the mirror and witness are down the principal is running exposed and as a result goes offline

If a failover has alrerady occurred, the mirror becomes the new principal and in the situation you're describing the exact same situation occurs. The witness and mirror are down so the principal runs exposed and goes offline

My bad, I totally misread the question.
Gazareth and Perry are right: P goes offline when M and W are not available.
