Hello Masters,
How can we count the total number of locks in sql server 2005\2008 ?
Is there any query\options to check it ?

Why? What is that total number going to tell you?

I got an alert "Total_Locks>=4000 " !!
I dont know how much it should be.
I tried sp_lock and can see around 3853 rows. But dont know whether that is the number of locks.
Is there anyway I can see the total number locks and what type of locks there are ?
