An application added some scripts resulting frequent lock timeouts. The timeouts are in Tempdb with a type of 8 - Extent. They create a temporary table and issue updates based on its contents. I am having a hard tracking down the cause of these timeouts.

Are they causing TempDB to grow?

No. Small table, TempDB is about 4gb
