Has anyone successfully installed and maintained multiple versions of SQL Server instances on a single server?
What disadvantages have you encountered maintaining multiple versions of SQL Server instances on a single server?
Thanks.

Hi smatu,
We have installed multiple instances of different version, we do this to implement security between instances & different databases.
Not so much errors come to place, some WMI errors come..
for eg. when you will open SQL Server Configuration Manager, it will not show services, to solve the problem you have to install the sp2 or sp3 package of sql server (selection is based on already installed sql servers)
