  Hi All,

  I am running 2012 Enterprise.

  Is anyone doing any proactive monitoring on their SQL servers??

  Usually after a problem has happened, it's hard to pinpoint what happened after the event.

  I'd like to be able to look back after a problem has happened and know what was running.

  Would the management data warehouse or extended events be a good fit for this? I appreciate that it's probably going to be a lot of data!
