Table option disabled when creating dataset

  While creating a new dataset, I've noticed that the Table option (Text, Table, Stored Procedure) becomes disabled as soon as I select a data source for the dataset and I can't figure out how to enable it. Does anyone know what causes this behavior?

  Hi Peter,

  I believe the table option is only available via an ODBC datasource. Don't ask me why this is.

  In SSRS, not all query types are supported by all data sources. For example, Table is supported only by data source types OLE DB and ODBC. So please check your data source type.
