If I have SQL SERVER 2005 SP 4 @
build 9.00.5296 dated
October 24, 2011
Will I be able to install
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS12-070
I see it is
build 9.00.5069
dated October 9, 2012 ?
I see there is a build 9.00.5324 which I believe should have the security update but I cannot find a downloadable update. This only brings me to a 'description'.
Does anyone know more about this?
Thanks
Mark

See if this helps: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms12-070

Thanks OPC.
From the link I found this:
For SQL Server 2005:
SQL Server Version Range
9.0.5000-9.0.5068
SQL Server Update
SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4 GDR
(KB2716429)
SQL Server Version Range
9.0.5200-9.0.5323
SQL Server Update
SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4 QFE
(KB2716427)
Looks like depending on where your version falls, there are two separate security updates. This clears it up. Thanks!

I believe you'll need the QFE. Check out
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34846
and get the one for your server.
