Hi Genius,
I have a report originally developed on SSRS 2005 and I have Office 2013 on my computer. When ever I export report into Excel format from SSRS 2005 (xls) the mailTo functionality works perfect. But when I run the report from 2012 and export it into Excel format (xlsx), first from excel side it prompts me of compatibility issue and if I want to recover yes or no. If I choose No answer excel prevent of open the report and if I choose "Yes" Answer, Excel (2013) open the report but without ability of send mail to and replace the url with local address (C:\abconame.xlsx)? any work around?

Not experienced this issue but as a workaround you can enable Excel xls rendering in SSRS 2012.
You need to edit the rsreportserver.config file. Find the extension for EXCEL and remove the Visible="false" attribute. If memory serves correctly you also have to rename it, I changed EXCEL to "EXCEL 97", otherwise it doesn't show in the dropdown. Once the config has reloaded you should see two options in the export dropdown, Excel for xls and Excel 2003 for xlsx.

Thanks for the respond and solution, however, we don't want to open the file in xls format but keep xlsx format. Is it any to do with Excel side security? any Active x plug in needed? and SP for the hot fix?
