change the MSSQLSERVER log on password

    What issues will I encounter if I change the MSSQLSERVER password?

    Do you mean the service account password? Or your password for SQL Server?

    The former needs to be done with Configuration Manager to ensure rights are maintained. Your password is like any other. It changes and you use it to log on.

    yes I'm sorry I did mean the service password. not sure what it is and need the password for permissions to a different server.
