HI
i need help for migration the coding in sql server 2000 to sql server 2012 . regarding this what are the step taken from initial or any basic configuration need to setup before migration to step up step action to final stage
please advise or guide me

I would suggest you start your upgrade task using the Upgrade Advisor

The above reference starts with assistance in upgrading from 2000 to 2005, but it also contains links, for upgrading from 2005 to 2008 and from 2008 to 2012.

When you know what Upgrade Advisor has found, a good next step is to set up a SQL 2012 instance in your development environment and run all your applications on it. This should show up problems that cannot be found by Upgrade Advisor.
