Same email being received more than once.

  • I receive each email twice. Is there some setting that can be fixed?

    For example, I received this twice.

    Stairway to SQLCLR Level 3: Security (General and Safe Assemblies) (SQLServerCentral 5/28/2014)

  • It doesn't appear to be a global issue. I am only receiving one email for each notification.

    I lumped that in to my "notifications."

    I only receive one newsletter. Maybe Steve can have somebody look deeper into your account. But it doesn't appear to be a global issue.

  • There are a couple of things that commonly cause this:

    - Signing up accidentally with multiple addresses

    - Setting up auto-forwarding from another address

    - A misconfigured Exchange server that can fail to mark some emails as downloaded, triggering the email client to download them more than once.

    Looking at the logs for the last few days, you have only been sent one newsletter to the email address associated with this account each day. Can you email webmaster@sqlservercentral.com so we can run through what may be causing this?
