I plan on installing SQL Server 2014 Express, as a learning sandbox.
I'll likely need to upgrade to the Developer's Edition eventually.
Can I install the Express version to a D: or E: drive? My C: drive is small and if possible I'd like to put in a new 1 TB drive, maybe break it into two 500 MB partitions, and install SQL Server onto one of those. I should be able to have my data files on a third drive, correct?
All this is on a desktop Dell 670, a large tower with dual 2.8 GHz processors and 2 GB RAM. I know I should have more RAM but that's all there is for now. These particular units are picky about what RAM you put in them and I can't really start throwing money at that right now.
Thanks!
