I know there was an article on this earlier. It is very difficult to tell if a post is valid or not.
I was thinking what if posts can only be done for SQL Server Members with more than 10 points. Most spam is coming from those that are new with 0 points. I know this might cause issues for those that do have legit question under 10 points. Maybe those people email SQL Server Central and ask for special permission to post.

You may be onto something there. Before you can post anything you have to answer correctly a certain amount of QOTDs or read about posting etiquette and answer some questions about that:-D
Mind you that would put some unfair obstacles in the way of people who are genuinely after a bit of quick help.

Most people make their first post asking for help with zero points. That would be restricting the help too much. Adding complication to the creation of new accounts to prove that you're human and maybe including some captcha for the first posts would be a good option.
The reasons for this should be notified to the new users to understand the complexity of the first posts.
