Job Executed as user: DomainName\SQLServerAgent. The step was cancelled (stopped) as the result of a stop job request.Executed as user: DomainName\SQLServerAgent. The step was cancelled (stopped) as the result of a stop job request.

  • I'm getting entries in the job history that the Job was canceled.

The code is proprietary so I do not know much about it.

A Windows Task kicks of the Job (SSIS) at 15 minute intervals.

There are no longer entries in the Job History every 15 Minutes but the table .

The Loads are happening and the record counts in SQL Server match the AS400 record counts.

It was suggested that I ignore it but I do not think that that would be a good thing to do.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • Are you able to look at the job under Management Studio/sql server agent/jobs?

    -Management Studio/sql server agent/jobs

    -Double click the job

-select "steps" from the left window

    -double click a step

Could it have more than one step and is being canceled in a step after the table update runs?

Does the user all job steps run under have permissions to everything it/they need.

Do all of the file locations/databases/tables etc.. that the job references still exist?

    🙂

  • This Job has been running successfully for years on this Server when I upgraded it to SQL Server 20008 R2.

    Nothing has changed.

    Thanks.:-)
