changing sql server port no in 2008R2

    hi,

    1. if i change sql server def port no, sql server will work or not? what is the steps

    2. in clustering virtual IP address will change, clustering will work or not?

    What is your goal, a port change or an IP addr change? Is it clustered or not? Changing the cluster IP address is not terribly hard, you can do it in the cluster manager, but you will have to restart SQL. Changing the port can be done from the SQL Server configuration utility.
