I am getting this popup error at the beginning while stating the install ...

Hi JR,
Usually this kind of error occured when the ISO image of SQL Server in CD or download is corrupt. It is quite possible if anyone download from net they might get any interuption and corrupt ISO image.
Take an new fresh CD/DVD or ISO image which is tested OK.

Could also be a mis-match of 32-bit vs. 64-bit, OS vs. MSSQL, and the hardware architecture. I received a similar error message once, and the root cause was: I had downloaded an ??itanium architecture?? installation instead of "AMD64".

Problem solved.... someone had made an incomplete copy of the software :rolleyes:
