Good Morning Guys,
I am a newbie with regards to Data Warehousing And Implementation of a good Data Warehousing Strategy. i would like to ask for some inquiry regarding Data Warehousing and i would want to start with the Following
1. Big dimensions - good or bad?
2. Too many dimensions? pitfalls? good or bad
3. Attribute or dimension?
4. Joining fact tables - what is required to do this? (ie: dimensions)
5. Slowly changing dimensions - definition
6. Degenerate dimensions - definition
7. Top 10 Things To Consider When Creating A Data Warehouse For Reporting.
Any Article or White paper that you can share to me to further my knowledge regarding the Topics above is Very Much Appreciated

You should start with a good book, which will probably answer most of those questions.
Start with the Data Warehouse Toolkit by Ralph Kimball.

Agreed on the book recommendation. The third edition has recently been published. It is about 200 pages longer than the second edition. You may want to start with the second edition so there's less overload.

Thank you guys. Just Another Question. In Essence, is it hard to convert a relational database to that of a dimensional data warehouse? if so what do i need to identify? how can i start with doing so?

That's a very large question. Please read the book and it will give you an idea. As for hard, I would say it depends. I didn't have any trouble making the leap from OLTP designs to OLAP designs. But others, even good DBAs, have had troubles with the tables not being normalized in the traditional sense. And then others go to what I consider the other extreme, where they don't even use primary and foreign keys.
As for where you should begin, you should begin by working side by side with business users. Look at the reports that they are using and especially the spreadsheets that they are creating.

Don't worry that you're a long way. These take time. BI is a good path to go down. You should find it worth it.
