I set up multiserver administration and it is all fine except it is not compatible with sql 2000. Anyone knows of a workaround or is there an article someplace about the compatible versions?
Master is on 10.50.4000 and problematic target on 8.00.2066

If you're talking about Central Management Server, you can register the 2000 machines from the central machine, but you can't join the CMS from the 2000 machines.

Check out the BOL Topic "Creating a Multiserver Environment". It has a chart that lists compatible versions of MSX and TSX servers. For a target server that's running SQL 2000, you need a master server that's also SQL 2000.
