Opening existing package - Data Mining query is missing! Cryptographic error

    I am opening an existing SSIS package at a new job and when I do that, the encryptSensitiveWithUserKey setting was saved (default) and I get a cryptographic error. When I try to open the data mining task, the query is gone completely.

    I did not save the package. Is there any way to recover this query? I do not know where to begin to re-create it.

    Does the person who created the package still work there? If he/she still does, have him/her open the package on his/her computer and save the package under a different protection level.
