Installing SQL server 2012 Express when already got SQL Server 2008?

    As the above really.

    I have SQL server 2008 installed on a machine, just been given a copy of a backup file for restore. This has been done in 2012, so need some method of restoring it.

    Has anyone installed both without any issues?

    Normally you can install different editions side by side without issues.

    Thank you, I meant to update this on Friday and say I had tested this and had no issues at all :).
