I was thinking about someone who can mentor me in a way that is convenient both me and that person.I like to be improving my skills ones a while specially the following
Develop t-sql fundamentals
SSIS fundamentals
DBA high level tasks
BI skills fundamentals
so if you think you can spend few minutes to an hour a month to answering questions I may have please send me an email
Questions that immediately pop into my mind:
What rate are you willing to pay for this service?
What are you doing currently to improve your SQL Server skills?
Are you a member of a SQL Server user group? Are you a member of PASS? (there are virtual user groups if you don't have a local user group)
Why can't you ask you questions here on SSC?
Do you read SSC regularly?
Do you have Developer edition (or a test environment) where you can practice/test/learn?
Everyone of your subject areas are laudable areas of interest; dig into one and ask questions when you get stuck.

added to above user's comments
you can learn some from books, google, online help etc.
To learn all SQL technologies have to come from your experience, reading SQL form's and problems you face in your work.
start posting your queries one by one , learn something new daily and monitor the forum daily and you may find you are expert one day.

What rate are you willing to pay for this service?
I'm looking for volunteer/friend who wants to mentor junior and give direction of what the best
methods are and help when I stuck on self learning lessons.
What are you doing currently to improve your SQL Server skills?
I'm DBA consultant and do some self -study sometimes.
Are you a member of a SQL Server user group? Are you a member of PASS? (there are virtual user groups if you don't have a local user group)
i use online sql server user groups like this one and I learn something I'm greatfull about.
Why can't you ask you questions here on SSC?
I'm beging to ask questions but I like experts who have sometime to guide my learning and answer my questions.
Do you read SSC regularly?
yes
Do you have Developer edition (or a test environment) where you can practice/test/learn?
i have Eval edition
Everyone of your subject areas are laudable areas of interest; dig into one and ask questions when you get stuck.
these areas are mostly demanded in the shops i have been, and i think will be very valuable skill set in the long run.
thank you very much Bob for your time i hope you become my virtual mentor for whatever your expertise are.

So you work as a DBA consultant and you are looking for free tutoring about the fundamentals??? Something seems very wrong here. For one, you are getting paid for the work that you seem unqualified for and then asking for others to donate to your cause. Secondly, you are charging for work that you are unqualified for. I appreciate that you want to improve your skills but asking for a mentor to do FREE one on one instruction so that you can keep getting paid using the techniques offered to you does not make somebody very interested in helping.
I would suggest you start with the link over there on the left that says "Stairways". Pick a section that is interesting or that you know little about and dig in.

I agree with the prior posts recommending user groups, using the developer edition, and the SSC stairways. Also I have two additional reccomedations for tutorials,

thanks those are very usefull resources and i use them specially mssqltips.com articles and scripts
and microsoft Virual lab for High availablity labs.
all those resources are availble and i can use them but most people misunderstood of mentor,
to me, mentor is not someone to teach me something new but to clarify things that i may have questions.
mentor is someone who have alot of experiences and has sometime to be engaging in helping someone else few mintutes on email or may be on phone call just answering questions.
I'm in a good place in terms of work and skills but when I want to learn more stuff i can get lost in my own learning stuff and frustrated that is my personality!

What you have described is what happens everyday right here on SSC...well except we don't use email or phone calls. Don't limit yourself to one person, get the experience of the entire community. SQL server is entirely too big for one person to be the master of all elements.
It almost sounds like you want an on-call consultant at no charge to answer your questions. The closest you will get to that is the forums.

you have a good point: I'm a fit for what I'm doing now, but do i want to do these things forever.
to understand where I'm coming from, I was DBA and I want to transition to Developer, the fun stuff and be able to join the team that creates stuff everyday instead of the team the puts off blazes
every day I dont want to be in criss mood while I'm working because someone else mistakes is what I'm fixing most of the time and blessing them while they are bringing down the databases and servers coz someone is hired to bring up. its ok but some time, i feel to be a developer and dont be on call 24\7.
thanks for the ideas and resources, links you offered me.

Although not always the case, you may be jumping from the pan to the fire. Developers are frequently in the crisis mode and you may learn why many developers say things like "I don't have time to do it the right way". 😉
