SQL registration in Management STudio

    From time to time, I need to test a users login with SQL, so I go to a registered servers properties and test from there. Somehow I saved a users id and password. But now I cannot resave or overwrite it with the sa userid and password. I even tried deleting the registration and re-registering, but the user id keeps coming back.

    try looking n the xml file that holds the information

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\RegSrvr.xml

    Somewhat, there are user ids, but it doesn't seem to be the one that is appearing.

    I just exported my listing, but it seems like it does not contain the user id and passwords.
