Hi,
Report Server 2008 with 200 reports and Report server 2005 with 250 Reports
now we have to move 250 reports to 2008 Report server.
1)We can take backup of 2005 report server (Report server and Report server tempdb)and restore on 2008 report server but what about reports on 2008 server and we cant deploy individual reports of 2005 to 2008 report server.
we have to migrate four server with same scenario.....
In which way we can retrieve reports of 2005 server to 2008 server with out disturbing reports of 2008 server..
Awaiting for Your replies..

If you backup 2005 and restore over the 2008 RS DB's you will loose your 2008 reports so you wont want to do that.
Options you have are
use a tool called RSScriptor, which will go into your report databases, script out all your objects and then allow you to import them to another RS DB
backup and restore the 2005 RS DB as ReportServer2005 on the same server where your 2008 reports database is, then install a second instance of SSRS 2008 and point it to the ReportServer2005 DB's, make sure you backup your encryption keys so that you can use the 2005 database ok. This will mean that unless you use host headers and have friendly URL's you will end up with http://servername/reports (which will be your 2008 reports) and http://servername/reports_2005 (as you need to install a named instance of SSRS, in this example the named instance is called 2005)
If you need to keep the URL as http://servername/reports (you cannot install a second SSRS instance) you will need to go with RSScriptor and re-deploy the objects.
