  Hello Masters,

  In my new environment of SQL Server 2008, I got an alert from one server "Total_Locks>=4000 ", I checked and found there are no dead locks too.

  Is there any command to know number of lock on sql server ?

  and how can I reduce the number of locks ?

  you can use DMV

  sys.dm_os_performance_counters

  to find the locks

  beside this other things like

  sp_lock

  master..sysprocesses can also help in the context
