Somehow my active directory account disappeared over the weekend. After getting the account back (same name), I could not login to my local SQL Server (on my PC). It's 2008R2, and I'm using XP.
No one knows the sa password, but I normally login using Windows Authentication.
Do I need to reinstall, or is there any other way to get into it?

here's a few different ways to recover access by adding yourself as a sysadmin:
via powershell, which supports impersonation by a local admin:
