High memory usage by SQL server

  Hi Friends,

  I have sql server 2008 r2 sp2 64 bit in my server. The OS of my server is windows server 2008. The RAM of server is 8 GB. We have allocated 6 gb for sql server. Memory is full. There are no user sessions running in the server at present. How to identify why memory is high??

  Perfectly normal, SQL will use as much memory as you have allowed it to even when no users are connected to the instance.
