Remove database ReportServerTempDB

    IT department wants this database to be removed, if we are using SSRS isn't this database needed?

    Yes, it is needed. It's basically a "tempdb" for SSRS. It's basically used to store snapshots of data while reports run.

    I have to ask, "why" do they want it removed???

    The App manager said it was not needed and should be deleted. Thanks for telling me what it is for, I will push back.
