Failover cluster installation

    Hello all,

    We are installing a new failover cluster with SQL 2008 R2. We already installed the active node successfully. My question is for the other node, which would be passive, do we need to install as a new failover cluster node or should we just install a normal sql instance? Please let me know.

    Ensure you present any shared storage to the second node and then open the sql server installer and select the option "Add node to a SQL Server failover cluster" 😉
