Today we have a guest post from Steve Jones as Brad is on vacation.

Today we have the third question from the DBA in Space contest, given by me from the comfort of Colorado. Apparently something is happening at Roddenberry Launch Center, and after the explosion last week, I’m guessing it has something to do with the alien ship that Verity Blunt discovered.

Brad was looking a little under the weather. Perhaps that was because of Jar Jar’s passing, or perhaps it was some other reason. In any case, I was reminded of  in Men in Black and I think something’s up. We’ll see if Brad returns on Wed and if he’s feeling better.

In the meantime, have you answered the October question that Brad sent out before he was whisked away to Roddenberry? It’s a good question about what you think has the greatest impact on your SQL Server’s performance. There isn’t a wrong answer, and it will be interesting to see what people think impacts their systems. Enter and you could win a nice prize.
