You have 1.4 million people right here. Much better than teaming up with just 1 person. 😉

I would have to agree with Mr. Moden.

You might not be "listening" on SQL Server Central, anymore, but wanted to find out how you made out on this.

It might be too late, Brandon. The original post is 3 years old.

It is clever, indeed. Learning as a team is a great way to go and that's why I asked the question after 3 years to find out how it went.

You could post a similar question via your own post if you're still interested in buddying up with someone for training purposes.

Jeff, It was kind enough you woken this discussion as to what was the fate of this topic so I will keep this story short. I did not find anyone, I found the quicker way of getting to know things... the real problem scenarios was by monitoring discussions people asked here in the board and that did help a lot, I did look out for a job as Fulltime SQL dba, but my skills were more into iis, windows, deployment so I moved on to acquire knowledge and skills on Vmware esxi, MS Azure, Storage, Openstack, Red Hat but SQL is still my unforgettable, combined of all of this I'm doing pretty good today 🙂
Regards,
