Generating XSD from XML FILE in SSIS

    I'm in the the process of creating an ssis package to import data from xml file to a database staging table. Using the XML source file transformation, I tried to create an XSD from an xml file but have been getting the error below.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio

    ------------------------------

    '', hexadecimal value 0x02, is an invalid character. Line 6378, position 24.

    The error message seems pretty clear and even tells you where in the file the problem resides. Your XML file is malformed due to it containing an invalid character.

    There are no special teachers of virtue, because virtue is taught by the whole community.
