Hi
I tried to import excel 2010 spreadsheet, but I can not find any option for 2010, higest version seems to be excel 2007.
Any comment on how to do this, or do I have to store my excel spreadsheet as 93-2007 or 2007.

Hi,
In SSMS go to Server objects then to Linked servers and see your providers. May be you have to install a new one for office 2010, or to make some settings in their properties.

I guess you are using SSIS?
Take the 2007 option, normally it should work.

Agreed. The .xlsx format in 2010 has not changed from 2007.
My thought question: Have you ever been told that your query runs too fast?
My advice:
INDEXing a poor-performing query is like putting sugar on cat food. Yeah, it probably tastes better but are you sure you want to eat it?
