Hi,
I done MCTS-MS SQL 2005 (Installation and Maintenance) now I want to upgrade mine certificate on MCITP-MS SQL 2008(Database administrator).
Will I have to attempt again MCTS-MS SQL 2008 for completing the MCITP-MS SQL 2008(Database Administartor).
What is latest certificate offering by Microsoft on MS SQL Database Administrator?
Is MS SQL 2008 & MS SQL 2008 R2 have different certificate?
Thanks

The upgrade (iirc) is from MCITP 2005 to MCITP 2008. Without the 2005 ITP, you won't be able to just write the upgrade exam and get 2008 ITP. You'd have to either write the 2005 ITP then the upgrade, or write the 2 2008 exams. 2 exams either way.
2008 and 2008 R2 are the same certification, there isn't a 2008 R2 specific one.
