i have a SSIS job copy data from a SQL 2000 server to a SQL 2008 server, it runs fine in last few months. All the suddent, it failed this morning. error message:
"A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online."
when i open the SSIS package from BIDS, in 'connection managers' section, all the 'OLE DB' connections to the SQL 2000 server failed.
i am pretty sure nothing changed on the SQL server 2000 side. Also, i can connect to that SQL server 2000 from either EM or QA. i checked SQL server logs, nothing there.
