Hi
I have been asked about journalling but can find nothing on MS SQL journalling on the net.
Can anybody point me into the direction off knowledge 😀
Thanks

That would come under recovery and depend on the backup routines of the database in question.
The only times I have heard of journalling is in finance systems.
I would suggest going back to the powers that be and asking for a more detailed explination of what they are after.

Thank you, it seems that he knows the term from working with exchange and was looking for something similar in SQL

Primarily then it will be looking at the backup routines.
Exchange journalling is basically a log of what happened and when for compliance and regulation, which is pretty much what the transaction log in SQL does.
