Hi,
i've read that sql server 2012 standard edition 64 bit does not have the Database mail feature in it(unlike any other version of sql server).
what are my options to send from sql server 2012 STD 64BIT?

Correct, it is not available in 64 bit versions

Maybe stand up a 32 bit version, use SSIS, or use Enterprise edition.

Anyone know why the pulled Database Mail from Standard Edition? Doesn't make sense to me.

It's still there in 32 bit versions just not 64 bit Standard. I agree that it makes no sense.

I think that particular doc is wrong. Too hard to believe they would take that away from that edition/bitness only so I looked it up. There are conflicts all over the net and I do not have an instance to check it out, but here are a couple refs:

database mail and SMO in Standard Edition not supported, according to BOL, but works
