I have been experience difficulty converting an access DB to one that can be viewed in SQL Server 2012. This task should be simple right? However when it prompts me to select a server for the new DB to be hosted on, all the options are other PC's within my office. Is there a way that I can create a server instance so that my machine will show up? Or does anyone have a suggestion for a local server to host the database on? OR have I been going about this the complete wrong way and there is a much easier solution?
THANKS

When what prompts you? What tool are you using to help you migrate?
Do you have a SQL Server 2012 instance stood up to accept the migrated Access database?
